Intermediate students continue to study classical ballet twice weekly for two hours during each class.
During this year the students are all anticipating the notification from their teacher, of permission to go visit their doctor in the hope of receiving approval to go on Pointe! Not all students’ feet are ready to go on Pointe at the same time their skill level is. Some must wait patiently for the growth plates to close a bit more. Our philosophy about entering Pointe is to be safe not sorry! Students go on Pointe in this class on an individual basis and stay at the barre in their studies until they show the proper strength to go to the center.
In this level the students are welcome to apply for and become part of the “Student Teachers Training Program”. Students participate in both the annual Performance Awards and the year end performance.
